PAST SERVICE PROJECTS
Sensory Trail -- 5 stations
Congratulations to Jacob Kempton of Troop 237, recipient of the Council Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award. For his project, he and volunteers created a therapeutic sensory trail for Strides Therapeutic Horsemanship Center in Pasco, which offers adaptive riding and hippotherapy. While on horseback, clients interact with the five stations. The project’s trail is used for physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy and is a rich learning environment providing treatment disguised as fun.
