K.M. SCHOLARSHIP
For those that need a little extra help!
Only for Traditional Adaptive Riding & The Complete Horse Course clients at this time.
In Memoriam
In 2020, Strides said goodbye to a special friend when Kyran M passed away. Kyran was passionate about supporting the children and adults who participated in adaptive riding. His legacy will live on and help others receive the full benefits of equine-assisted activities through the Kyran Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Your donation makes a difference.
Why donate to K.M. Scholarship:
-
The expense to provide equine-assisted activities continues to grow.
-
Insurance does not pay for equine-assisted activities inclusive of our programs: adaptive riding and Horses & Heroes.
-
Strides does not receive federal or state funding for Horses & Heroes.
-
Therapeutic benefits for adaptive riding clients: improved strength, balance, mobility and coordination; more subtle improvements are fortified self-esteem, self-control and self-confidence. Peer interaction and social skills are also developed in this unique classroom setting.
-
Horses & Heroes clients regain self-esteem, learn healthy communication styles, and reduce anxiety. They also learn how to adapt, improvise and overcome perceived stressors.
We are committed to making our programs affordable to all those that have a desire to participate.
Our Goals:
-
Provide adaptive riding lesson rates at approximately 77% of the actual cost.
-
Provide 100% sponsorship to veterans and first responders as a thank you for their service.
We invite you to join us in giving the gift of hope to these amazing children and adults in our community by donating to the PROGRAM fund. With your support, our clients can continue to receive the therapeutic benefits that horses have to offer.
Donations can be made monthly or yearly.
