History: Prior to Strides Sam was a winning western pleasure show horse including Reserve Regional Champion.  Sam's granddam was one of the first Russian Arabians brought to the United States. Russian Arabians were not recognized as Arabians until after this mare and others were brought over in the 1970's. In 2006 Sam became Strides second four-legged therapist.

 

Current:  Sam adores peppermints.  He loves routine and order.  He enjoys having his legs stretched.  Sam was retired from service at the end of 2015.
